Would love to play a vanilla DarkRP server if you guys know of any though, until then. The main experience I thrived for in DarkRP was role-playing and socializing, everything else (jobs etc) were just an addition to that, the core focus of present day DarkRP seems to be centered around just PVP, being better than others, sad. Bad communities, with addons that don't contribute anything to the roleplay experience, is what I experience in 2019. Owners have this annoying delusion that more addons somehow increases gameplay potential, but in reality it's not the content that I play for, it's the community, cause that's the only catch that had me sticking around servers for a long time. Every present day DarkRP server is pretty much Free-For-All death-match, with shitty, laggy- generic addons, VIP ranks that are just ridiculously powerful & out of control. Modifying the default DarkRP gamemode into other gamemodes is not recommended and you should use a different Roleplay Base designed to be modified or use the DarkRP Derived. Modifying DarkRPs default settings is simplified by using an addon called DarkRP Modification created by FPtje to stop people from editing the core files and breaking stuff. DarkRP is a non-serious roleplay gamemode developed by FPtje (Falco Peijnenburg) over the course of the last 8 years, over this time it has grown into one of, if not the biggest gamemode in all of Garry's Mod.ĭarkRP by default has an Administration Mod called FAdmin and a Prop Protection System called FPP (Falco's PP).
